Special Lenten Parish Event:

(after the 12:00pm Mass)

Our Lady of Shkodra Church is hosting a special Lenten event with 9 Rare Relics of Christ’s Passion on Sunday, March 10th at 1:15 PM. We encourage you and your family to join us to take advantage of this special opportunity to venerate these holy relics and participate in a program that allows you to engage in a meditative experience highlighting the Passion of Our Lord.

The program includes a set of unique meditations with accompanying Eucharistic Exposition, music, and prayer that promises to be a heart-touching enhancement for your Lenten experience. We hope to see you there!

The Relics of the Passion collection includes:

- A piece of the True Cross which was discovered by St. Helena
- A piece of the Crown of Thorns
- A piece of the Holy Table from the room where the Last Supper took place
- A piece of the Column of Flagellation
- A replica of the Holy Nail, fashioned using filings from the True Nails
- A piece of the exterior wrapping for the Shroud of Turin
- A relic (bone) of St. Longinus, the centurion who pierced the side of Christ
Relics of the Holy Apostles
- A picture of (the effigy of) the Veil of Veronica touched to the original with a Vatican seal attesting to the fact.
